Tullamore dew distillery8/2/2023 ![]() It was by far the best experience of my 9-day Ireland adventure. ![]() I would recommend doing whatever necessary to experience this distillery. He was also very engaging and kept us safe on the campus roads. While our time with Will, our driver, was short lived. The interactive nature of the tour certainly kept guests entertained and the different tour stops with tastings were much welcomed, especially the main tasting event at the end. My favorite part was the Irish coffee you start off with while you learn the history of the distillery and its owners. My husband and I hired a private car service to bring us here from Dublin, and I am so glad we did because public transport did not seem as accessible (I had hoped to walk from the train station but definitely not!)īrian was an amazing guide-very knowledgeable and engaging, and he made sure to take care of all his tour guests. I had the opportunity to visit 5 Irish Whiskey Distilleries during my Ireland travels (Teeling, Jameson, Kilbeggan, Pearse Lyons and Tullemore) and this was by far my favorite! The tours were small and intimate in size (no more than 8 people with advanced reservations required). Words cannot capture the beauty of this distillery and the overall experience. We bought a few bottles of things you can't buy in the US: the honey liqueur (delicious) and the Caribbean rum cask whiskey (also delicious).Absolutely amazing experience with our guide Brian and our driver Will. It is created by blending together the three main types on Irish whiskey malt, pot still and golden grain, and then triple distilling for that famous Irish smoothness. The grain distillerys opening comes three years after Tullamore began production at its malt and pot still whiskey distillery, located adjacent to the new facility. Cascade Hollow is the maker of George Dickel Whisky, the second largest. I love Tullamore Dew whiskey so was eager to visit - and it's very convenient to visit if you're driving from Dublin to Galway. The Central New York native, at 34, is general manager and distiller for Cascade Hollow Distilling near Tullahoma, Tenn.
